D. Earls Tax Service has been a staple in North Texas for more than 45 years. It all started when Delmer & Maggie Earls founded the family owned and operated company in 1978 by opening the first office in Rockwall. They grew to include offices in Cumby, Pilot Point & Mesquite before purchasing permanent offices in Greenville and Quinlan in the early 1990’s.
Our History
Delmer & Maggie were community staples; involved in every aspect of community development.
After the passing of Maggie in 1992, Delmer was comforted by the overwhelming support of his community neighbors.
Shortly after this trying time his son, David, took over the Greenville location while his son, Dennis, took over the Quinlan location, working with his sister Debbie, to continue their father’s dream of a lifelong family enterprise.
Delmer continued to be an active participant in every aspect of the company until his unexpected death in March 2012.
Delmer saw several transitions of his family company including the tragic loss of his sons, David and Dennis, and the promotion of his grandson, Daniel Earls, to President of D. Earls Tax Service in 2008.
In the last 10 years, Daniel and his wife, Megan have poured their heart and souls into the business and are thrilled to celebrate 40 years and are excited to announce their son, Dylan as the 4th generation. In the 40 years since D. Earls Tax Service first opened its doors there have been many changes brought to N. Texas; we are proud to be a consistent staple to our thriving community.

Meet our Team
President
Daniel Earls
Daniel is the owner and President of the company and started working for the family firm in 2005 with his father, Dennis Earls, and Grandfather and founder, Delmer Earls.
In 2008 he took over as President of D. Earls Tax Service. Daniel successfully completes the AFSP requirements every year and the required continuing education that is needed. He is a registered return preparer, authorizing him to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
He specializes in tax preparation for individuals, business, partnerships, & corporate returns.
Daniel has always been involved with the community, recently stepping down and President of the Lake Tawakoni Regional Chamber of Commerce. He has also spent time on the planning & zoning comity for Quinlan as well the United Way board and the Greenville Chamber of Commerce board.
Daniel was born in Denton in 1984 and at the age of three his family relocated to the Pacific Northwest, where he grew up in Eugene, Oregon. In 2003 he returned to Texas to attend Texas A&M Commerce and to be closer to his extended family.
He splits his time between both the Quinlan and Greenville Offices. When not working, he is spending time with his wife Megan and their 2 sons, Dylan (5) & Drake (3), and tinkering with his vintage 1973 Ford Bronco.

Drake Earls
Drake has been with the company since his birth on 10/15/18, which just so happens to be extension deadline day. He is also the 4th generation D. Earls. He has no interest in the company at the moment, and currently enjoys just running around the offices to find wagon stress balls. He enjoys school, trains, planes & automobiles.
Greenville Head Bookkeeper
Dulce Soto
Dulce joined the company in January 2017 and is the Greenville office’s Head Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator. In 2022, she celebrated her 5-year anniversary with the company.
She is bi-lingual in English and Spanish. Dulce is dedicated to helping our clients with their small business finances and record keeping.
She is very hard working, dedicated, organized, and is committed to helping our clients organize and file their quarterly and yearly reports by providing with them with monthly, quarterly, and yearly profit and loss statements.
She also enjoys volunteering for Bras for the Cause and other local events. Dulce enjoys spending her time with her fiancé, Vincent, their 1-year-old son, Aaron, along with her chaotic Mexican family.
Greenville Administrative Assistant
Jaky Estrada
Jaky joined the Greenville office in 2021 and is their Administrative Assistant. She was born and raised in Greenville and is bi-lingual in Spanish. She answers phones, schedules appointments, maintains the preparer’s calendars, completes the mail entry in client files, and greets clients for appointments. Jaky is always eager to help in any task given. While attending GISD, she was the Coronel for the Flaming Flashes. In her off time, she likes to spend time with her boyfriend, Serjio, & siblings. She looks forward to meeting more of the community.
Quinlan Bookkeeper
Jennifer Merrifield
Jennifer joined the Quinlan office as a bookkeeper in late 2021. She is very hard working, dedicated, organized, and is committed to helping our clients organize and file their quarterly and yearly reports by providing with them with monthly, quarterly, and yearly profit and loss statements.
She has lived in Quinlan since 2015 and loves to take her ATV to the mud parks with family and friends and is a member of 3 local Jeep clubs.
She enjoys spending time with her significant other, Shawn, and their 2 dogs, cat, bearded dragon, hognose snake and 3 ducks.
Payroll Administrator
Megan Earls
Megan has been with the company since 2008 after marrying Daniel Earls in Eugene, Oregon where she is from. Megan is the company’s marketing guru, payroll leasing specialist and social media coordinator.
Megan is also very involved within the community including Bras for the Cause, the local Chamber of Commerce’s, and community parades.
Before she worked for the company, she was a Certified Medical Assistant. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with Daniel and their sons Dylan (5) & Drake (3) who are the 4th generation D. Earls.
She also is a houseplant enthusiast and enjoys spending time in her greenhouse.

Dylan Earls
Dylan has been with the company since his birth in November 2016. He is Daniel and Megan’s 1st son and is the 4th generation D. Earls.
He “works” a lot and is learning the trade and will be answering phones, replying to emails, and filing as soon as he can. His favorite thing is to stuff koozies for giveaways & loves to bring the ladies coffee when he can. He is a rambunctious almost 7-year-old who loves 1st grade, Star Wars & his brother, Drake. He loves to spend time with Misty’s granddaughter, Aubree.
Greenville Office Manager and Tax Preparer
Misty Little
Misty has been with the company since 2007 and is the Greenville Office Manager and Tax Preparer. In 2022, she celebrated her 15th anniversary with the company. Misty successfully completes the AFSP requirements every year and the required continuing education that is needed. She is a registered return preparer, authorizing her to represent taxpayers before the IRS. Misty revels in the complexity of ever-changing tax laws and enjoys working closely with her clients. She also has a reputation of keeping her clients constantly informed. She specializes in tax preparation for individuals, business, partnership’s, corporate & non-profit returns. Misty is also extremely involved with the local community including Altrusa & volunteers for other local organizations and events when she can. She is a wife and mother of 6 kids and 2 grandkids and has lived in Greenville for 40 years.
Quinlan Office Manager
Bailey Maeker
Bailey joined the Quinlan office in 2017 as their Administrative Assistant. In 2022, she celebrated her 5-year anniversary with the company. During that time, she has held many positions, including administrative assistant, bookkeeper, tax preparer and now office manager.
She assists Daniel by collecting, organizing, and digitizing substantial documentation. She handles incoming and outgoing correspondence between clients and the IRS. She maintains and organizes client files on various local, network and cloud storage devices for retention purposes.
She consistently assists and helps all team members when needed. She brings a friendly, professional, and high-energy attitude to the team.
She has been happily married to her husband, Mason, for almost two years and they have two daughters, Rozlynn and Montgomery. In her spare time, she enjoys her family & friends and volunteering with Meals on Wheels when she can.
Quinlan Administrative Assistant
Emily McDaniel
Emily has been with the company since January 2022 and is the Administrative Assistant for the Quinlan office. She answers phones, schedules appointments, maintains the preparer’s calendars, completes the mail entry in client files, and greets clients for appointments.
Emily is always eager to help in any task given. She was born and raised in Hunt County and has lived in Quinlan for 7 years.
She enjoys doing hair and make-up and spending time with family & friends. She looks forward to meeting more of the community.
